I haven't look at Luc's url yet ... but no to your question, I did not save
it as a object or anything else, I just saved the file by clicking save. I
can send you the diagram if you wish to take a closer look I can upload it to
Microsoft's office live file sharing site. Let me get back with you when I
have completed the tasks.
Dana, By the way Thanks for the time and effort!!!

Odd. Which version of PPT are you working with?.
Usually if you group a bunch of shapes and copy/paste them, you get that
same group of objects. A transparent border/frame will sometimes show up on
an EMF or WMF -- did you happen to save your group of objects as an image or
something?

I used the drawing tools to make a few basic drawings and when I copied
them
from one PP file to the next they developed a frame or border
(transparent).
At first they allowed me to double click and edit them. Then when I saved
the document and returned the next day and double clicked on the same
drawing
I get this error message: "The server application, source file, or item
can't
be found, or returned an unknown error. You may need to reinstall the
server
application." That message doesn't mean a whole lot to me as I pasted the
diagram from one file to the next and I should not need a source file to
edit
it. And I don't know what "the server application" is or what that means.
Does anybody have a simple hint to allow me to edit the drawing without
having to stand on my head?
