It does, I am running 2003 and specified 96 (I actually compressed it first
and reinsreted into powerpoint)

I just noticed you said 5 slides with 100 pictures. Does slide 4 have 20.
pictures on it?
PPT 2007 defaults to 200 ppi for its compression. That won't help here. Did
you specify the 96 ppi option when compressing?

The animation is finished 3 seconds prior to the time I have set to
automatically advance the slide. I also compressed the file with no luck.
Thanks

Well, is the animation on slide 3 longer than 3-4 seconds? That could
cause
a delay.
If you compress the picture on slide 4, does that resolve the issue? If
PPT's struggling to display it, that could cause a delay. Sometimes
uncompressing large JPGs can cause that.
Compress Pix tool is on the Picture toolbar in PPT 2003. It's on the
Picture
Tools tab of the ribbon in 2007. Compress it to 96 dpi/ppi (for email, I
think it says). Then save.

slide ends with two pictures both with animation and slide 4 has a
large
photo (251kb).
Thanks,

Does your picture on slide 3 have an animation applied to it?
Is the picture on slide 4 extremely large (file-size-wise)?

Hello - i have a 5 page slide presenation with over 100 pictures
using
automatic transitions. All transitions are working correctly,
except
for
an
8 second delay between slide 3 and 4. I have no idea why this delay
is
occuring.
Thoughts?
