Unfortunately, you just can't rename in 2007. You have to save as from within PowerPoint.

The easiest way to fix this would be to change the extension in a PPT 2003
or earlier file from .ppt to .pps or the extension of a PPT 2007 file from
.pptx to .ppsx. This will start the file immediately in show mode and then
if the program drops it out it will close the show. If that happens you
then have an issue with something in the presentation that is corrupted,
such as an image or video file or even a special font.
