Re: PP Photo album: Insert Picture from dialog, resorts images.

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I could be Vista vs XP because I don't remember this happening in Vista. It
wasn't until I left Microsoft and started working at a company recently than
uses XP. John's suggestion works though, and it's a simple work around, so
one less little-annoyance to deal with now.

Thanks!

Sorry, just noticed you already said you have SP1 installed. Wonder if it's
a difference between Windows XP and Vista? (I'm running Vista here.)

I think John's suggestion is a good one to try.

For what it's worth, I cannot reproduce this here. My pictures are in
order, even if I name them using your ##_imagename convention. Hm...

Have you applied service pack 1 for Office 2007? I don't recall this being
something that was fixed, but it would be worth a try, I think.

In PowerPoint 2007, whenever I use Insert>Photo Album>New>Insert Picture
From, and navigate to the set of images I want to put into the photo
album,
the last image is invariably the first image in the list (before I click
Create). All my images are numbered (01_imagename, 02_imagename), and no
matter how many images I select (2 or more), the last numbered image
(example: 20_imagename, 01_imagename, 02_imagename, ... 19_imagename) is
always on top of the list. I have to select it and use the down arrow to
resort the list, that is, click the arrow 19 times in this example, to
move
the file to the bottom of the list.

I am running XP and Office 2007 SP1. Is this a bug or a feature?
