RE: PowerPoint2007 intercharacter spacing

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

My local printer is set to Adobe PDF. Does this need to be set to a physical
printer even if it is not attached.

FYI. Rebooting does resolve the problem at least temporarily.

First step is to make sure that you have a local printer set as default (the
printer doesn't need to exist)

Yep I know it sounds crazy but try that first.

I have having an intermittent but major problem with the intercharacter
spacing in ppt files that I am working on. At time, some characters seems to
be displaying on top of each other, even to the point that 1 time all
characters in the main boady of the presentation on all pages was smashed on
the 1st character position. Ttitles and text boxes seem not to be affected.
In addition, the slide thumbnails on the left side of the display and the
slide sorter also seem not to be affected. Hpwever, it is very difficult for
me to edit the primary body text. HELP!!!
