Re: background not showing on slide

BIG WOO HOO !!!!!

Echo S - I followed the link you sent (http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00129.htm)
on how to set back my video card. When I followed those directions, I found a
link to Intel in my 'properties' window - having read an earlier note that
changing the video speed did not help but installing the driver did....I
followed suit and installed my video driver. My PowerPoint is once again
working as before and now all is well again in the kingdom.

Perhaps one of the recent fixes corrupted the driver.

No matter.

Thank you for your kind reply and patience with the inept.

Yvonne

Wow, we're seeing a lot of these odd display things lately. Sounds to me as
if something's messing up video drivers.

I'd first try changing hardware acceleration.

Then I'd try updating video drivers.

I am running Windows Home Edition Version 5.1 (build
2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254: SP2)

I am trying to create a scrapbook page using my MS Office PPT 2003.

Prior to July 2, 2007, I have had no problems with my PowerPoint program.

Currently I am having trouble viewing the background on my slide.
When I insert a picture I can see it on the left side under the slides
tab.

But it does not show up on the current slide in the center of the window.

When I 'grab' the PPT window at the top and move it down past the task bar
on the bottom...dipping the window below the horizon so to speak....and
back
up, the pictures I have pasted into the slide, appear.

Now that I am typing this question, the area this window covers on the
slide
underneath, has become a white area.

I recently tried to save a template as a .pot file. Not sure I did it
correctly.

I have tried to reinstall/fix the PPT program and no luck.

I also recently applied Windows patches

Am I missing something or have I really messed things up?

Thank you in advance.
