Go to the master using View - Master - slide master. On your left activate
the master, click in the footer placeholder and type your footer, now click
the titlemaster, click in the footer placeholder of the title master type
the footer for title slides.
That should do it.

How do you create a header in the slide masters that is different from the
title master? I want to create a header like you would in word.
