John, You're probably right about the fn/toggle F7 F8. The manual addresses
outputting DVD's to different type monitors/projectors - which is in some
video format. I don't khow what the format is for the PowerPoint
presentation on CD.

The keys will work for anything displayed on your PC. It's a hardware setting that affects
all problems. There's no special format for PowerPoint.

Whatever the manual says ... that should work for PPT just fine.

Guess I'll just have to "experiment".Was hoping someone
had already came upon this problem and found a soloution!

I dont have a Sony but vga is probably it. You will need to use fn + a
function key (varies with make but probably has two little monitor icons)
this switches between view on lappie, both and projector only.

John, When you choose the make CD option, the 2003 viewer is loaded to the
cCD by default. My interest is how do I connect to a projection device? VGA
or video out, or whatever.......

Thanks - oltekkie

I want to use my Sony Vaio laptop to make a presentation at a community
meeting. As my laptop does not have WinXP (has WinME), I cannot install PP
2003, but can make the presentation on my XP Desktop and burn to CD.
How do I output the presentation to a projection device?
