Depends on the version of PowerPoint. Naming shapes have little consequence
in earlier versions since the animation panes displayed windows which were
not mapping to the names of the shapes. In PowerPoint 2007 this is not the
case and the names of the shapes are displayed in the animation pane.

Is there a way to change the name of grouped items so they don't just
appear
as group 1 group 2 etc. Or can I make transparent text to labe a box or
another items so I can easily identify it for making triggers for
animations
in powerpoint?
