The SharePoint site is where we are storing the final/resized images for our
users to retrieve and use for their Proposal Covers.

We have a Word Cover Template file with a predefined area to insert a
graphic (4.88" x 9.75"). The Cover in Word is a table and the graphic size
is one of the rows. We have a guide set up with these exact dimensions in
PowerPoint. A user downloads an image (JPG) from our company-approved graphic
library and inserts it in the PowerPoint template, placing it behind the
properly sized rectangular guide. The image is moved within the sized outline
to align to the left hand margin of the space, then the image is sized to fit
the entire space, holding down the ALT key while enlarging the image to fit
the 4.88" x 9.75" space. The image is saved as a JPG file and closed. When
the file is reopened, either from a hard drive or from the SharePoint site by
double clicking on it, the image opens in a "stretched" looking format. When
the resized image is inserted in the Word Cover template, the image fills the
space correctly and does not look stretched. The cover file prints
correctly.

We are trying to make this new library of resized images available for
online viewing so a user can review and then select the appropropriate image
for their project. However, viewing the images in a normal view is giving us
a problem

We have used vertical and portrait orientation images and the same
"stretched" look apepars. If we bring the image into Photoshop and resize
there, we do not have the problem. However, only a few users have access to
Photoshop, while the company application is PowerPoint.

several people working on the resizing and we are trying to figue out what we
are doing wrong.

Has anyone seen this? I am not sure what I am doing wrong with the resizing
process. How can I get the images to view correctly when just
viewing them and not placing them in my template?
