I doubt reinstalling will fix it. Probably just as easy and good to do
Help|Detect and Repair.
How did the user insert the Flash movie (SWF)?

We have not added any Add-Ins but the user did insert a Flash Movie into a
PowerPoint at one point and since then he has had the issue. How do I
fix
this problem? Re-Install PowerPoint??

Hello,
Thanks, you are right.
I had the same problem that when double-clicking in PowerPoint it did
not work.
It was a real pain because every time I wanted to access options in
PowerPoint like the format setting, I had to right mouse and use the
drop-down menu.
I have just installed the Swift Flash (.swf) add-in, but had not
connected the two; once I removed the Swift Flash add-in PowerPoint
went back to normal.
I think I will stick with the more advanced Flash Toolbar for inserting
Flash movie into PowerPoint.

Once again thanks.

Have you installed any addins lately? I think the swiffpoint player (??
something like that) used to prevent, mmmm, I think it was
double-clicking in
slide sorter view to bring up the normal slides view.
Anyway, what I'm saying is sometimes addins can cause this type of
issue.

I'm unable to double-click on any objects in PowerPoint to format
them. For
example, if I want to change the fill color of a rectangle, I
used to be able
to double-click on it to open the Format Shape dialog box. For
some reason,
double-clicking no longer works to open dialog boxes...I have to
right-click to
open it.
When I draw a shape, by default it has no line or fill colors.
This makes it
hard for me to see the shape so I can select it to format it.
