Re: animated gifs

Thanks very much, that's very clear - would the png file then be the first
frame of the gif? I really want the gif to stop and stay on the last frame.

Cheers

Copy the GIF (press Ctrl+C or hit the copy icon on the toolbar) and click
the Edit menu, then Paste Special. PNG will be in the list.

You can probably also right-click the GIF and choose Save As Picture. Choose
PNG from the list in the "save as type" area.

Thank you, but never worked with .png before - how to "paste special as
png"?

As Tohlz ansd TAJ say cant be done.

Heres a cunning work around

copy Gif and paste special as png so that yopu have a moving gif and a
static png
experiment with timings in custom animation so that the gif exits after
one
cycle and the png entrances.

Did that answer the question / help?

Hello

I have PowerPoint 2000 (9.0.2716) and want to play an animated gif in
each
slide.

I have used Photoshop Elements to save the files for Web unlooped, so
that
they only play through the once.

However, when I insert them in PowerPoint and play them they keep
repeating
themselves as if they were looped.

Is there any way I can get them to play only the once?

Best regards

Ron
