Yes, you can't add text to a regular text box in Slide Show mode without
using VBA. That means that a click on a regular text box will generally
take you to the next slide (unless something else has been set for
Hyperlink or Action Settings).

Clarification:
1. When I click the text box, it does go to the next slide. Since
there is no next slide and I was writing this from memory I misspoke.
2. I'll try the text box from control elements. I inserted one
manually and seems like it will work.
