Re: An unexpected error has occurred

Oh, my!

I think if I were you, I'd try disabling those one at a time until I could
isolate the problem.

I have Norton's AntiVirus running but also I have Spy Sweeper, Microsoft
AntiSpyware, SpyCatcher and the two firewalls, Zone Alarm and the hardware
firewall in the Linsys Router. Thanks for the follow up.

I'm glad the workaround works, but, like you, I wonder why. I would have
suggested temporarily disabling the firewall as a test, but it seems that
wasn't it. I suspect you're on the right track, though.

Which antivirus program are you using on the problem system?

I was going to post the status before I read your recommendation about
having
the browser opened. The status was that when I used the same
presentation
in
another computer, even without opening the browser first, the error did
not
appear.
Going back to the original computer, and opening the browser first, the
error did not appear.
I am grateful that a workaround is suggested, but it is a mistery to me
why
two computers work differently.
One difference that I suspected was contributing to the error is that
the
original computer had a sofware and hardware firewall, but it was
eliminated
when I disabled the Firewall and still had the error.
Thank you for the suggestion, it worked, I do not know why, but it
worked!

itself
if
the browser is opened already when you click the link?

Using PP2002, Win XP, Browser IE 6.x
A number of hyperlinks were working within the PP presentation, both
as
PPT
or PPS. Now, everytime that I click on the hyperlinks, I get the
PowerPoint
error "An unexpected error has occurred" with an OK button.
I cannot identify what changed in my system to cause these errors to
occur.
It doesn't matter if I just highlight the text or graphic and then
right-click then use Hyperlink to enter the URL, or if I use the
right-click
then Action Settings, click hyperlink and place the URL and OK.
What is causing this errors? I would appreciate the help.
