Thanks Sandy but tried these already. The Options tab in the Format
Series box gives me three choices to adjust: Gap Depth, Gap Width, and
Chart Depth - there is no "Overlap" option. I've tried playing with all
of them with no response, the empty floor space remains. Ditto to the
Patterns tab in the Format Axis box - this only allows me to change the
appearance of the major or minor tick marks (outside, inside, etc.), or
adjust the appearance and height of the tick mark label itself (close
to axis, etc).
My problem has something to do with the way I have my datasheet set up.
My data is obviously graphed as a series, with the largest year having
seven entries, hence the program is spacing all years/sections at the
width of seven entries even though some years only have 2, 3 entries
etc. This is creating a ton of empty/open floor space. I'm wondering if
I need to Ungroup everything of it there's another trick I can use to
adjust the tick marks.
Can someone tell me how to ungroup?
.
