Hi, i'm back!
This is a follow-on question from andy:
I have created a Powerpoint presentation with some slides carrying links to
videos (in the form of .mpg files on the laptop). It all works just fine on
the laptop screen. When I came, this evening in the gathering, to run it thro
a projector, all the stills projected fine. When it got to the movies,
however, the slide frame came up but the movie did not (neither picture nor
sound).
We rushed round and got a second, different projector - no difference! We
tried to run the .mpg liles individually using Windows Media Player - again
fine on laptop screen, but only a black rectangle in the WMP frame, with the
progress button happily moving from left to right on its track, on the
projector.
It would seem that the .mpg file contents is not being sent to the projector
by the laptop!
What am I doing wrong?
