In PP 2002 (and further) you can use as many "Design Templates" as you want
in a
given presentation. I do not think it is possible in earlier versions.
Go to "Format"---> "Slide Design". A column appears at the right of your
screen,
showing the various available designs.
When the mouse passes (not click !) over any of these designs, an arrow
appears,
allowing opening a menu. It allows you to apply the template to "All slides"
or
only to "Selected slide(s)".
Note that if you simply copy a slide in a presentation, it takes the
template of
the slide in front of it, unless you choose the "Keep source formatting" in
the
"Paste options" menu that appears after the paste operation.
I hope it answers your question.
