I think the file is probably corrupt, if you can't open it. I never got a
message at all. But, you mentioned being able to load the same file to another
server and it works fine. That's what led me to believe that the problem is
with the server.
At least you know that it is not specific to your client machine. All the
message means is that whatever got downloaded and is now stored in your Temp
folder, cannot be opened by PowerPoint. It probably means that it is a
corrupted file, but there is no way to know where or when the corruption
occurred - - on the server or during transmission or during the write to your
Temp folder.
