How have you made sure of this?

Mac versions don't strip out the embedded TT fonts, but they don't use them
either, so yes, if the fonts aren't present on the Mac, PowerPoint will
substitute a different font. On the other hand, it *might* be a TT font or it
might not.
What fonts are you using? For overall compatibility, it's best to stick with
[yawn] Arial and [yawwwwnnnnn] TimesNewRoman, which should be present on all
Windows and Mac systems.
And because of slight font rendering differences between the two platforms, it's
best not to pack the text in there too tightly. When in doubt, bump the text up
and down by a point or two to see if bad things happen. If so, make the text
container a bit bigger.
