Custom Task Pane in PowerPoint

Hi Everyone,

I am searching on the web for solutions for this problem now for 2 days,
but the answers i found are more confusing than helpful to me.

I should create a custom toolbar for MS Powerpoint (if possible in C#) for
my Company. With this task pane, the user should be able to search for
images on the WebService of amazon.com, to return images. These images
could be inserted into the presentation.
So far, so good.

Now, i got many possible approaches from the net, but none of those go me
further.

InfoPath: I could insert the code from C#, that i already developed (and
worked) into a InfoPath Document, but found no way to create a task pane
out of it.

Smart Documents: I guess, those would work fine for Word & Excel, but not
for PowerPoint.

Does anyone know, if my plans are possible or not? Are there any
professionals on this topic?

Thanks for help,
Marcel
