There could be a couple of reasons, but you haven't provided enough information.
The length of the path to the file can be a problem. If it exceeds 128
characters (approx.) it may not play. The solution is to move the file to some
place with a really short path, e.g. C:\Test and then delete and re-insert it in
PowerPoint and test it.
On the other hand, since we don't know what type of music files (i.e. the
format) these are, the ones that don't play may not be compatible with your
system or your version of PowerPoint. You'll just need to give us more info.
Since we can't see your system and can't watch what you're doing, talk to us
like idiots who need a full education. <G>
