When a program does not perform as designed or advertised, it is a bug. Windows
and PowerPoint are not designed to read both sections of a "CD Extra" formatted
disk. The CD Extra format is actually designed to play the audio portion on a
separate CD player in your car, etc., or play the data portion on a computer.
As I told you when you previously asked via email, what you are trying to do
won't work. Windows opens the CD as "data" and hands it off to PowerPoint.
PowerPoint doesn't know that there is an audio track on the disk because the
disk is open in data mode.

Put your CD in your computer's drive and you can either play it as an audio CD
or you can open the data portion. You can't open both sections at the same
time.

If you want to play CD tracks in a presentation that is also playing from a CD,
you'll need to have two CD drives and a second CD that contains the audio
tracks. Otherwise rip the tracks to disk and link to them and include them in
the data track of the CD Extra disk.
