sound

Hello,
I have a powerpoint presentation, with sound in it.
If i play the presentation the sound plays.
however if i click off of the presentation to do other stuff, the sound
stops.
is there a way to always let it play?

also in design mode, can i take it off of the presentation?
when i click on the sound there is no menu to save as sound file.
