Presentation keeps getting larger

Hello all,
I have a powerpoint presentation that grows every time I
save it. At first it just adds a few KBytes but the
addition grows exponentially. A 4MB file can easily
become a 100MB! It only happens on the first save in
every session. Another jump will be if I close the
presentation and open it again. I've ruled out viruses
(by an updated norton) and I've turned off all the
special options in tools->options->save.
