hallo there
I have done what you suggested and even went as far as reinstalling powerpoint 2000 on my computer - it seems the problem is with how powerpoint communicates with the mplayer because I can not insert any files when i click " insert move files from gallery or from file - no file extensions work there and powerpoint tells me it found an error it can't fix.
where should I look for the log files? what kind of names would the logs have, tried to look but can't seem to find them.
also the registry extensions for MCI that i found on the microsoft website vary greatly from the extensions in the powerpoint tutorial from sonia, which one to follow? I have also dowloaded the Nimo light pack of codecs but they seem to sit under programmes and when i check the codecs in control panel they are not listed there. I don't see an exe file that will install the codecs, can anybody help me on how to do this please.
