Roger,
If you have an existing installation of Microsoft Office and you insert the
CD, the setup will automatically present you with a choice to enter
maintenance mode.
Alternately, in the Add/remove programs applet of the control panel, you can
select the Office installation from the list of installed programs and then
click on 'Change'.
