Go to the slide where you want the music to start. Then under 'sound' go to 'other sound' and browse for your music file. Since Powerpoint only plays wav. files when you do it this way, you may have to convert it (just download a conversion program).
Another way is to go under 'Insert', 'movies and sounds', 'sound from file', and to browse for your music clip. In the Custom animation window, double click your sound and you can choose how many slides you want it to play. Doing it this way, you have more choices for sound formats.

Does anyone know how to load music files, which are already on my computer, into the presentation and have the songs automatically play for several slides?
