Office update sp3 pro.msi verbose log not helping

Hi
I've had the fairly common problem of updating office XP with SP3 and
getting the PRO.MSI problem. I've downloaded the full version of SP3.

I've followed all the instructions on the microsoft website:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/840169

But no luck as my MSI log doesn't mention "Resolving source".

I've also checked my Add/Remove Programs for multiple installed
versions of Office - only 1.

Any help much appreciated as I can't currently use Excel (get asked
for PRO.MSI) and all my lodge's finances are now inaccessible.
