After furious head scratching, Robert McN asked:
| I've been using MS Office since 1993 and am fairly proficient in it.
| Last night I upgraded from Office 2002 for Windows XP to Office
| Professional 2007. Well, so far it has been pretty disastrous. I'm
| shocked at how different it is. In Word, The menu is gone, so I
| can't find the commands. I can't find the style function. None of
| my macros work and many of my auto-corrects don't seem to work
| (though some do).
| Four question: 1. Is there some quick guide to help me make the
| transition from Office 2002 to 2007? 2. How can I get my macros and
| autocorrects working? 3. Is there an option to adopt an interface
| that more closely resembles the interface in Office 2002? 4. The
| Office Shortcut Bar seems to be gone. I used this all the time. Can
| it be reactivated, or has it been permanently retired? Overall, my
| productivity has been stopped and I need to get back to work. Any
| assistance you can give to help me make this transition more
| efficient would be most appreciated. Thanks very much.
