Hello
Apart from what Mr. Willet suggested you can also look at the following

I tried to upgrade windows 2000 to service pack 4. During the download.
process an error message "The SP4EXPRESS_EN.exe file is linked to missing
export NTDLL.DLL:strstr" appeared. When I clicked OK, another error message
appeared "A device attached to the system is not functioning."
The reason that I wanted to update to service pack 4 was so I could download
Ipod software.
How can the problem be corrected?
