Change administrative install to a client install?

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I've done enough reading to realize when an office install was done
from an administrative installation point you cannot get updates from
Office Online, the admin point needs to be patched, etc... My question
is, is there anyway to change this besides uninstalling and
re-installing? I have about 100 machines that have installed from an
admin point that we want to give access to updates from the Office
Online site. thanks,

scott
