Re: Sick of having to load 3 - 6 CD's into each computer to update

Hi Ben,

How does that security update list help? It hasn't been updated since
October 2004 and a new security patch was posted this week (April 12, 2005).

You would also need to hire a Secretary to go through that wild list of
patches, add-ins, and updates. It's still not good unless one has an hour or
two, and by then I could have gotten my blasted CD's which only take 5
minutes to get to.

Both methods of updating are completely unacceptable to me, constant CD
Swapping, and sitting down to read through 100 historical references which
are not up to date.

Thanks for trying to help out though.

I remain resolved never to apply another Microsoft Office Product Update
ever again until this method is changed. I am using every Spyware, Malware,
and AV product known to man and they are all updated automatically (including
Windows Critical Updates), so there is no reason for me to bother with this
ridiculous method any more. The Microsoft Office Products updates are made
for people who have nothing better to do with their lives IMO.

I think that it's hight-time that Microsoft Office gets with the program and
allows for automatic updating like every other program on the internet. Even
the smallest companies have free automatic updating now. And when you shell
out between $200 and $400 for a product we should expect and demand it.
