Hi,
Win XP
Office XP Pro Developer with FrontPage SP 3
HELP. I suffered a major meltdown from installing Win XP
SP 2. Had to reinstall Windows and an earlier version of
my registry. (System State) After 3 days my computer is
almost fully functioning again.
Only problem I know of that is left is in Office XP.
When I try to use MS Access I get a window installer
message that says the feature I am trying to use is on a
CD ROM or other removable disk. Insert the MS Office XP
Pro W/ FrontPage disk and click OK.
If I click cancel the program opens and works normally.
If I click OK the same thing happens without any files
being transferred.
This message happens every time I open a MS Access
program.
I went to Add Remove programs to check if I could add
what was missing and I get a message that the patch is
not installed.
I have all Patches installed. I can't reinstall the
patches because the computer has recorded somewhere that
I did install them.
I also can not access MS windows Update on the internet.
Page opens but it does not check the computer.
I also can not access MS Office Update on the web.
Any suggestions?
Is there a way to COMPLETELY remove Office and start over?
Or can I get the computer to accept the Service packs to
replace the missing files?
Thanks for your help. Hopefully it is not as bad as it
sounds.
JL
