Thanks Susan. My laptop came with trial version of Norton
AV2002 and I later installed Norton AV Corporate Edition
7.6. Disabling these didn't help. However, I uninstalled
both of these and SP3 update works fine after that.

I do have another problem now. After I uninstalled AV2002,
my internet connection doesn't work anymore. The only way
I could get it back was by using System Restore, but this
erases SP3 update. I don't know how to uninstall AV2002
without effecting the internet connection. If I can do
that, I think I can easily update to Office SP3. Please
let me know if you have a workaround for this.

Regards,
Naveen
