Hi, itsme,

Here's what I understand:

1) Are you asking if you can provide the path to the source in the command
line? That can't be done, that I'm aware. It will follow the path provided
in the Registry. The path in the registry can be found at
'HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Registration\<product code>' in the
'SmartSourceDir' regkey. Even if you provide the source path to the MSI,
it will need the CD to get its files, though. I'm not sure what it would
buy you, unless you want to insert the CD, run the patch and walk away. If
I'm not understanding yoru question, post back.

2) The answer to the second question is 'yes'. You just need to extract
the MSP files from the full file patch. This command line will extract the
files: ...OfficeXpSp3-kb832671-fullfile-enu.exe /c /t:"c:\extract" (the
download directory will need to be created prior to extracting). The patch
also contains the latest version of OHOTFIX.EXE in the package. The OHOTFIX
command line would then be no different that what you've probably used in
the past.
