Hm. Well, the only other thing I can suggest is that you run some disk
checking utilities, such as scandisk, and defragmenting your drive, cleaning
out temp files and so forth, to ensure there's not a problem with your disc.
You might also try requesting the patches on CD:
How to Obtain Both Office 2000 SP-2 Updates on CD-ROM
