Office Update Problem

On a W2000 Pro workstation (upgraded from Win 98)connected
| to a win NT 4.0 server, a new user (on the nt domain)
| cannot log in without having to re-install all programs
| (ms office 2000 and etc.). Have tried copying the current
| user profile to the new user, giving them admin rights,
| copying the current user profile manually(in Doc and
| Settings) to the new user (in Doc and Settings), no
| luck.... The real kicker is that when the pc asks for the
| ms office 2000 install cd, it won't even read from it -
| saying the install msi file is missing (even though I am
| browsing to it). Is this because the MS Office 2000
| install has been upgraded via downloaded service packs?
| Even tried to re-install ms office 2000 from scratch under
| the new user name - still get the error message re: the
| msi file...
| Please help - I need this workstation to be available to
| multiple users...
| Thank you in advance!!!
