updating office on XP

If you are updating something relating to Frontpage then
you should need the cd with Frontpage on it. It could be
that your version of Office doesn't even have Frontpage
then you won't need the update anyway. I received Office
with my Dell also (2001 SBE updated to XP but I've never
used Frontpage and don't know if it is in there or not).
Some versions of software (and hardware also) supplied by
Dell are cheaper versions than bought off the shelf. That
way, you are lead to believe you are getting more than you
are paying for (i.e. full version of Office Pro >$250 but
Dell can get multiple copies of a reduced version for
<$100). This won't fix anything but may let you think
about other things. If you do have FrontPage and need to
update it then search cd for the files. I have received
all cds (that I know of) and dece4nt service from Dell.
My only problems have been with MS AFTER I started
updating their programs. Good luck.
