Re: Installing enterprise 2007 on vista sp 1

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Thanks for your response. My software is not pirated. I received it as part
of my membership to the Microsoft partner program. I am with a corporation.
I will refer to the articles for where to get assistance. I figured what
ever is going on with the "Please wait while it configures" is not unique to
2007 enterprise since I see others get the message with many different
versions of Office.

For Office Enterprise issues see the following. Support on this version is only
available from MS or your IT Department and we cannot help you here with the Office
Enterprise version.

Sorry but we do not know if it is Pirated or not. You should have gotten these
instructions as above on your Home Program purchase from your Company

The support for Office 2007 Enterprise is free and look and open

I installed enterprise 2007 on a new dell computer with no previous office
installation on it. All went well but every time I open any of the office
products I get the dreaded" please wait while microsoft configures...". My
user account is an administrator. I even tried uninstalling and installing
under another admin account.

Is there a registry setting I can change to tell the office products that
first use has already occurred so it will stop the loop? It evens starts the
"wait while microsoft configures..." when I click on REPLY in Outlook.

I tried a registry cleaner, uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail.

One curiosity, I looked in the registry and under OFFICE it had a key for
office 12 which is the 2007 I installed but also had a key for Office 8? Is
that how Microsoft Works shows up in the registry or is that an Office 97
product? This is a brand new computer just out of the box and 2007
enterprise was the first piece of software I installed on it.
