Re: Why is it taking office 2007 so long to open??

Hi, thanks for your reply. I searched all .doc files and it's not just my
documents, it's also program files. So what exactly did you mean by normal
..doc files? It is also freezing up once it does open and I try to do
anything. It's impossible to use. If I try to pull up one of my word
documents ,it will eventually pop up, but it takes forever. My computer came
with a trial version of office 2003 on it. Should I remove all of that?? I've
even uninstalled 2007 and reinstalled, it didn't help.

Hey there,

Try searching and deleting all normal.dot files on your c: drive. I've had
this problem in the past and this fixed the issue for me on a few
computers...

I have XP with SP3, just installed Office Home and Student 2007 from CD,
retail version. When I try to open WORD , the window pops open that says
office 2007, then it sits there for 4 to 5 minutes before opening. Why is
it
taking forever to open? The other programs in the suite open right away.
HELP
and be specific please. Detailed instructions on how to correct this. I
ran
the diagnostics and it says everything installed properly. Thanks
