Re: Which programs to remove before Office 2007 installation?

The programs that are left over will be installed again if you remove it , as its required by Standard 2007.
That why I suggested Its "not necessary" to remove those programs.

The only program that’s of no use is Activation Assistant for the 2007 Microsoft Office suites. You can remove it.

“Not needed?” Your reply could suggest that the programs are not needed and
should be removed. However I will assume you meant that removing the programs
is “not needed” and they can or should be left. If that is your advice it
runs counter to the advice I received from the first responder in Microsoft
office technical support, who said I should remove all of the programs I
mentioned before installing the Office 2007 Standard Edition CD. I didn’t
have a high degree of confidence in her advice, and excuse me for doubting
you but I’m a little reluctant to take your contrary two word reply on faith.
I would appreciate if anyone else could weigh in on this subject, perhaps
with just a little more explanation.

I'm just trying to insure a smooth install. Thanks in advance for your help,
