RE: office 2007 install error

I'm glad I found this post, because my problem is very similar, but
unfortunately, I also don't have an answer. I also have a new ASUS (G2S)
running Ultimate 32 bit. I bought Office 2007 Ultimate edition (the
educational license, to save money). Now when I try to install it, I get the
exact same error message-'Setup cannot continue because a required file is
either corrupted or not available. Run Setup again from the original source
disc or download location.' I know for sure that this configuration works
because I've already installed the same Office on the same laptop, registered
it and was able to use all the programs. Then, for another reason, I had to
reinstall Vista, and since then, I can't reinstall Office.
