Hope it does but the media that you purchased probably won't work since your
original purchased key did not unlock the trial software you downloaded.
You also don't qualify for the media according to Microsoft's web site since
the product wasn't installed from an original OPK Master Kit from a vendor.
Do a search on Microsoft's web site for "medialess license" (put quotes
around it in the search box.) There is a lot of information on the site.
Your "massive online store" has, in all probability, violated Microsoft's
licensing agreement for the Medialess license.
The reason that the key didn't work is that the software key is an OEM
license and the downloaded trial software needs to have the license
purchased from Microsoft directly with a backup CD purchased from Microsoft.
In a review of the DABS.COM site they even tell you ---sorry about the html
in the post ----"Note: OEM System Builder Software is unsuitable for sale to
consumer customers. Click for details. " on this page

£182.28 is a lot of money to find out that what you purchased is not what
you wanted (if that is the version you purchased.)

Hi,
The vendor is a massive online store, dabs.com. I don't quite understand
how this is improper, what have they done wrong? I've downloaded a trial
from MS for Office 2007 Pro and bought a medialess version of Office 2007
Pro. Isn't that what you are supposed to do if you installed the
software?
I've ordered a "backup" CD from MS for just over £10, perhaps this will
solve the problem?

Where did you purchase the product key from? If it wasn't a purchase
directly from Microsoft to validate the Trial version, the product key
will not work. Many times this type of key is purchased by some vendor
as part of a package from Microsoft and then broken up and resold
individually by the vendor. If this is what happened (purchased from
other than Microsoft) it is now time to contact MS to report the vendor
for improperly selling the license.

Hello,
I installed Windows Office 2007 Professional a while a go from a
download from MS web site. I've since bought a medialess Office 2007
Pro license (an empty CD case) as my trial was coming to and end. I've
tried putting in the product key several times when the Office
application asks for it upon start-up but it keeps telling me it's
invalid. What can the problem be?
Kol
