Do NOT use the Windows Installer cleanup utility - Microsoft has specifically recommended against it.

After furious head scratching, Setup error(s) Office 2007 Professional asked:

| Easier said than done.
| The conventional add/remove process in Control Panel doesn't come
| close. I have attempted to delete evey scrap of associated
| pre-release software from my system (e.g. references and folders
| labeled Office 12) but no luck. Is there a method to track down and
| safely remove all vestages of the pre-release product without risking
| performance of the 2003 Office version I'm still running?
