OEM software cannot be installed on a different computer. When that computer
dies, so does that software.

I have been happily using office 2002 on my laptop. Recently my laptop has
become unreliable because of a power supply problem. I need to install it
on
another laptop before my laptop dies. I want to keep office 2002 because
it
has a feature in Outlook that might not work in future versions. (I have
a
Timex data link watch that I use for a PDA and Timex has discontinued it
and
not updated the scheduling software)
I understand from friends that I need to uninstall Office from my laptop
and
then install it on the new one. I don't understand how that works or if
it
works with an OEM version. Please advise.
Thanks.
