Re: Count down on office trial

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I would have thought that the OP would have been able to keep track of when
the time-bombed version would expire. That date would have been marked on my
calendar from day one so it wouldn't just go pfft! on me. Of course, I would
have ordered it from Amazon two weeks prior to that date at the latest.

The software should have nagged you about converting to a full version
repeatedly, incessantly, and with increasing frequency as the trial
expiration date approached. You either ignored the warnings, or maybe you
have a popup blocker that prevented the warnings from appearing.

I REALLY would have appreciated a count down to expiration on the 90 day
trial that came with me new computer. Getting shut out at midnight on the
last day with no advance warning is frustrating.
I own a full version of Office XP, but now am strugling to figure out how
to move my Outlook data from the trial version of Office 2003 that just
shut down.
If I had a week to decide, I could have made a concious decision. I feel
like I'm being held hostage this way.
