Re: How do I get the trial software to accept my product key?

DUH, what part of "used the trial ..." and "Yes, we have
used up....." don't you understand? You can't install a
trial piece of software after the trial period is expired.
You will need to purchase the version of Office you would
like installed, and install it or use one of the free Office
clones that are available (www.openoffice.org is a good
one.)

JoAnn, I should have let you do this, but I couldn't
resist..

Yes, we have used up the trial period of the software. We
recently had to do
a complete recovery of our HP computer, and therefore
reinstalled all the
software that came with our computer. Now, I'm trying to
use the product key
that is printed on the back of the software, but an
'invalid product key'
error keeps popping up.

I've deleted the rest of this thread so forgive me if
you've already
answered this question.

Did you already use the trial software for a set
timeframe and are trying to
reinstall it?

I have tried many, many times to enter the product key
code on the sticker
that's on the back of my Office 2003 Standard Trial
software. I keep
getting
an error that says that the product key is invalid. So,
I contacted
Microsoft
who sent me to a website where I obtained a new product
key. That one does
not work either. I am still getting the same error
message when I enter
the
new product key also. What should I do?
