I honestly don't know. Hopefully someone else will have a solution.

Thanks for your suggestion! Oops, I did all that, but I forgot to back up
my
files, oh well, but it still stalls out at the "writing regristry ....".
This would lead me to believe it's not a problem with my computer, but
with
the disk, right? I'm so frustrated, I was hoping to spend today working
on
my research paper rather than installing this program.

Back up your files (just in case), uninstall the trial version, reboot
(my
preference), install Home Use edition.

RE: Office Profession Ed 2003 (Home Use)
I woke this morning to a message that my free trial expired. I thought
I
had been using the edition I purchased and installed. I am now locked
out
of
my college papers and research materials. I have attempted many times
to
run
set up and it seems to stall at the "writing registry ....". I have
tried
everything I know and really need some help to get my Office Profession
Ed
2003 (Home Use) loaded and running, but I also need to be able to
retain
my
current files (if possible). Any help is greatly appreciated!
