Hi William,
It's generally not adviseable to mix language versions on the same computer. They can share the same file names, but with different
content and some of the files are installed in the \Windows and \Program Files\Common Files area.
The English language versions include French proofing tools. If you have a volume license agreement (
http://microsoft.com/licensing ) you may want to acquire the MS Office Enterprise Edition with Multi User (Language) Interface pack
that also lets you switch the languages in the menus and help files.

Hi, my client already has Office 2003 English version installed on their
Windows XP computers. If they want to install the French version to a
separate folder so that they can choose whichever version when they want to
use. Is it possible for both versions be installed on the same computer? I
am only concerning about Word and Excel and I don't worry about Outlook and
Outlook probably cannot be supported in this case. >>
