Hi Dave:

Your Enviroment is Windows XP + Office 2003.

We will need to Manually remove Office if it cannot be Uninstalled from the

| I recently iinstalled a new hard drive and cloned
| everything from the original drive. Now when I launch MS
| Office 2003 products, it tries to do some sort of install,
| and then gives an error meesage about "Patch package could
| not be opened......." My guess is that it has something
| to do with the activation, or something concerning the
| registry. I found something about .msp or some kind of
| files, but it gave no fix. The orig cd. will not work to
| do any repair, or reinstall, etc. There has got to be an
| easy fix, as people will be putting new drives in all the
| time!!
|
| Thanks Dave C
